Pick the role you are looking at
Graduate trainee, bank and IT trainee hiring starts with a timed aptitude paper before any interview.
How employers screen it: Percentages, ratios, time and work, series and verbal ability under time pressure; 60 to 70% usually clears the cut-off.
Step 1 · Check where you stand
Five real questions from the Quantitative aptitude test. The full test is free and takes about 8 minutes.

Step 3 · Be ready for the interview
I first identify what is given and what is asked, and write the base value or rate. Then I estimate a rough answer before calculating, so I can catch a mistake. If the method is not clear, I try small numbers, like assuming the cost is 100, to see the pattern.
No. Starting at 100, a 20% rise gives 120, and 20% of 120 is 24, so it falls to 96. The net change is a 4% decrease, because the second percentage is taken from a larger base.

Step 4 · Prove it, then apply

Also screened in these roles:
Answer customer messages for shops, apps and telecom brands, usually in shifts that match the client's time zone.
How employers screen it: A 60-second typing test (most ask 35 to 40 WPM), then a short written reply checked for tone and clarity, then a customer-service scenario round.
Step 1 · Check where you stand
This is the real Typing test; your result opens on its own page with every error explained.
Speed challenge

Step 3 · Be ready for the interview
Give a net figure and where it comes from: "About 42 net WPM at 96 percent accuracy, from daily one-minute tests over the last month." A specific number with a method is more credible than a round guess.
Because the work is read by customers. A fast reply with a wrong name or amount creates a second ticket. Explain that you practise for accuracy first and then speed.

A list is mutable and a tuple is not. Tuples are slightly faster, can be dict keys, and signal that the data should not change. Use a list when you will add or remove items.
It makes b another name for the same list. Changes through b show in a. To copy, use a.copy(), list(a) or a[:].

Enter codes, forms, invoices and catalogue records exactly as given. Paid per hour or per batch, often part-time.
How employers screen it: A keystrokes-per-hour test on real-looking codes (8,000 KPH at 95% accuracy is the common bar), sometimes an Excel basics check.
Step 1 · Check where you stand
This is the real Data entry test; your result opens on its own page with every error explained.
Alphanumeric entry
120sType each code exactly, then press Enter for the next field. Letters are not case-sensitive; symbols and spaces count.

Step 3 · Be ready for the interview
Give both, with the format: "Around 9,000 KPH at 97 percent on alphanumeric codes; higher on pure numbers." If you only know your WPM, convert it and say so.
Describe a routine: read the full value, type, check the first and last characters, press Enter. Mention that you slow down on look-alike characters such as 0 and O.

I let them explain without interrupting, then acknowledge the specific problem, for example: "You've waited five days for an order that should have taken two." Next I confirm the details and say what I will do and by when. I keep my tone even and focus on the fix, not on who caused it.
Use a short situation-action-result answer. For example: a customer wanted a refund outside the policy window, so I explained the rule plainly and raised an exception request with billing that same day. The customer accepted the outcome because they knew exactly what was happening and when.
