PHP screenings for junior and WordPress-adjacent roles ask about forms, security and arrays more than about syntax. The test here reflects that, with the reason behind every answer.
Benchmark: 80% pass mark; screenings focus on web security basics and array handling. Requirements vary by employer.

Common questions
Is this test about Laravel?
No. It covers plain PHP, which every framework builds on. Framework questions come in later interview rounds.
Which PHP version?
PHP 8. Snippets use typed parameters and arrow functions where natural.
Why so much about security?
Because it is what separates a usable junior developer from one who creates incidents. Interviewers ask about injection and XSS early.
