BPO typing round and first interview
Questions candidates hear in non-voice and back-office screening, with answers that are honest and specific.
Give a net figure and where it comes from: "About 42 net WPM at 96 percent accuracy, from daily one-minute tests over the last month." A specific number with a method is more credible than a round guess.
Because the work is read by customers. A fast reply with a wrong name or amount creates a second ticket. Explain that you practise for accuracy first and then speed.
Acknowledge the issue in their words, apologise once if it is deserved, state what you will do and by when, and avoid defending the company. Mention that you keep replies short so they are read.
Answer plainly. If yes, say so and mention any experience with shifts. If you have limits, state them now; a surprise later costs more than an honest answer now.
Say you will check, give a time, and follow up. Never guess. Describe how you would note the question, ask a senior or search the knowledge base, and update the customer.
Pick a small, real example, say what the mistake was, what you did to fix it and what you changed afterwards. Interviewers want to see you own errors, not that you never make them.
Practise out loud. Say each answer once as written, then again in your own words with your own number or story.
Have a number ready. "My Typing score is at benchmark on a timed test" is a stronger answer than "I am good at it". Take the test and quote the result.
