Step 2 · Fix what the screening catches

Step 3 · Be ready for the interview

1
How do you make sure your written replies to customers are free of errors?

I read the reply once for meaning and once only for the verbs, checking tense and agreement. I also check articles before singular nouns, because that is where my mistakes usually appear. For longer emails I read the text aloud, which helps me catch missing words.

2
What is the difference between "I sent the file" and "I have sent the file"?

"I sent the file" is past simple and usually comes with a finished time, like yesterday. "I have sent the file" is present perfect and focuses on the result now, so the customer should check their inbox. I would not use "have sent" together with "yesterday".
