1
How would you reply to a customer whose refund is late?

Acknowledge, apologise once, give the facts with dates and amounts, say what you have done, and tell them when to expect it and what to do if it does not arrive. Keep it under 120 words.

2
How do you keep a professional tone with a rude customer?

Answer the problem, not the tone. Do not mirror their language, do not say 'calm down', and do not apologise repeatedly. Facts and a next step calm most people.

3
What makes a subject line good?

It says what the message is about and any action needed, in under eight words. Give an example: 'Refund processed: order 48213'.

4
How do you write for someone whose first language is not English?

Short sentences, common words, one idea per sentence, no idioms, and dates written in full (6 November, not 6/11).

5
When would you pick up the phone instead of writing?

When the matter is emotional, when three messages have not resolved it, or when the answer needs back-and-forth. Then write a short email afterwards confirming what was agreed.

6
Write the first sentence of a reply to a customer whose parcel is lost.

"I am sorry your parcel has not arrived, and I have opened a trace with the courier this morning." It names the problem and shows an action in one sentence.

Practise out loud. Say each answer once as written, then again in your own words with your own number or story.

Have a number ready. "My Business writing score is at benchmark on a timed test" is a stronger answer than "I am good at it". Take the test and quote the result.
