What the real round usually looks like
Most Git interview tests are ten to twenty multiple-choice questions, sometimes followed by a short practical task. The pass mark is 80%, and Git is commonly screened for developer, QA automation, DevOps and data engineering roles. Requirements vary by employer, so treat the benchmark as a floor.

Common questions
Do I need to know a Git hosting platform for this test?
No. The questions use Git commands that work the same with any hosting service. Pull requests are covered as a general review workflow, not the screens of one product.
Should I learn git switch or git checkout?
Learn both. git switch and git restore are newer and clearer, but git checkout is still common in older guides and team scripts, and screenings may show either.
Is a graphical Git tool enough?
It helps for viewing history, but many teams expect you to understand the commands, because conflicts and undo steps are easier to reason about when you know what each command does.
