Data entry test for interview: free practice with answers
What a Data entry screening round looks like, five sample questions in the same style, and the full free test with every answer explained.
What the real round usually looks like
Most Data entry interview tests are a batch of codes or form fields entered against the clock, scored in KPH and record accuracy. 8,000 KPH at 95% record accuracy is the common entry benchmark; numeric work often expects 10,000. Requirements vary by employer, so treat the benchmark as a floor.

Common questions
What is a good KPH for data entry?
8,000 keystrokes per hour at 95 percent accuracy is the usual entry requirement. Experienced operators on numeric work reach 10,000 to 12,000.
How is accuracy scored?
Per record. One wrong character makes the whole record wrong, because that is how it works in a real database.
Can I use the number pad?
Yes, and you should for numeric formats. Ten-key entry is roughly twice as fast as the number row once practised.
