Transcription jobs in India: how to qualify

The work
Type out audio: interviews, meetings, lectures and medical or legal dictation. Paid per audio minute.
How it is screened: A longer typing passage with punctuation and names, scored hard on accuracy, then a short audio sample.
What is usual in India
- Government clerical exams use a 10-minute qualifying typing test, usually around 35 WPM in English; the government format here matches it.
- BPO non-voice screens are 60-second tests at 30–40 WPM plus a written reply.
- Data-entry operator exams add a numeric 10-key component.
- Junior tech screenings are code-reading quizzes; the Python, PHP and SQL tests follow that format.
